Comparison of the effect of the two-mass and hydraulic buffers on the impact of the self-loading rifle
Talanda, Jakub ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
The focus of this thesis are the effects of dual-body and hydraulic recoil buffers on measured recoil of an AR-15 type self-loading rifle. The first part explains the working principles of the rifle and both mentioned buffer designs and points out the sources of the recoil effect. A brief summary of contemporary knowledge and already conducted research into the problem follows. The second part describes an experiment in which the recoil force was measured using a force sensor placed between the rifle butt and shooter’s shoulder. At the end, outcomes of this research are discussed and results obtained for both buffer designs are compared.
Selection criteria for sport shooters
Zrůst, David ; Fiala, Miloš (advisor) ; Hermel, Ivan (referee)
Title: Selection criteria for sport shooters Objectives: The aim of the work will be discovering of the fact, if criteria such as vital capacity of the lungs and apnoea can affect the shooting of air pistol and then mark these criteria as suitable for the selection of talented people. Methods: In this work was used analysis of documents and other professional publications with the possibility of selecting sports talents in sport shooting. Two laboratory measurements were demonstrated, to determine the vital capacity of the lungs by using a personal spirometer and measurement of apnea. At the same time, the probands height and weight were measured. Subsequently, an experiment was proven, in place of probands fired 15 shots from an air pistol according to ISSF rules. Results: The results of the work brought the fact that the vital capacity of the lungs together with apnea do not have a significant effect on the shooting itself in the shooting discipline "air riffle 10m" and is therefore not suitable for use in the eventual selection of individuals for sport shooting. Keywords: selection, sport, shooter, rifle, pistol

The influence of optoeletronic gunsight on shooting accuracy and precision
Bílek, Zdeněk ; Fiala, Miloš (advisor) ; Brych, Jan (referee)
Title: The influence of optoeletronic gunsight on shooting accuracy and precision Objectives: The primary aim of this diploma thesis is to statistically appraise the influence of optoelectronic gunsight on shootihg accuracy and precision. The sighting device was mounted on Heckler & Koch MP5 machine gun during both static and dynamic shooting practices. Methods: Shooting targets evaluation was based on the numerical method of detecting the mean point of impact. Statistical data processing was based on the method of comparison of means. To determine statistical significance we used dispersion analysis by means od ANOVA program. Results: We ascertained that the employment of optoelectronic gunsight has a statisticaly significant effect on static shootig accuracy. From a shooting precision point of view, there was great statistical significance of the employment of optoelectronic gunsight during dynamic shooting practices, namely on the vertical "y" - axis. Keywords: gunsight, shooting, assault rifle, target, laser

Weapon (not only) as a work of art
Sedláček, Petr ; Šmíd, Jan (advisor) ; Sýkora, Ondřej (referee)
The purpose of this bachelor work is to introduce a small-arms not only as an object for various kinds of practical utilization, but also to afer on thein values from the point of their perception as an art artefact in the linkup on their development in different cultures. It directs also on the region of Japan and samurai swords with reference on their sociocultural value. In the part dedicated to the hand weapons it introduces a history of their creation and methods of their division. In the last part presents the weapon as a device used in the movie industry and in the computer games in the linkup on a weapon presentation as an item of the violence in an up to date society. One of the targets of this bachelor work about weapons is an analyse of the social pathological event of the shooting in the schools so called "school shooting", which becomes very extended phenomen of current days. Work points on the possibilities and reasons of the origin of this phenomen by revealing a possible offender profile and further I introduce a concepts of the school shooting prevention in the linkup on the posibility to reveal potencial offender in time. Benefits of the bachelor work is getting a basic knowledges from the history and hand weapons development section, but also their presentation as an object of...
